Good Mornjng my faithful reader…s

Before I show u all the kinds of foods I ate this week… some of you have probably heard of my really extra plan to dehydrate all of me and Jackie’s food for our backpacking trip. Here’s how it’s going 8/23/22

✨chickpeas – really awesome to dehydrate doesn’t even matter if they rehydrate well they taste so good

✨onions, took longer than chickpeas but very good very good

✨tofu, actually not so good! I think it’s because I got the “chickpea soy free tofu” and also I should’ve pressed it a lot more but this one dehydrated very weird and it took all night to rehydrate from a crispy thing to a leathery thing

✨cooked lentils and cooked rice lol – this one felt pretty extra to do and I feel like maybe I wasted my time but the lentils came out so fucking good and rehydrate almost instantly, the rice also rehydrates quickly … the huge mistake I made is that I didn’t season and oil them before dehydrating tsk tsk

Also my thoughts on the dehydrating is that it’ll actually save water bc we can use the same water over and over again to rehydrate things as opposed to cooking it down while making rice or lentils ?? Like that water can be used to rehydrate …. Mushrooms? Lol wash my face?? Drinkie?
